You and your son will be remembered for what you are doing. That really is too bad that they would even expose the kids to language like that-coming from a teacher makes it harder to understand. I'd love to hear how it turns out. God bless you for your wonderful efforts!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02706979305995851795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853181264202350221.post-81496626034877602912013-02-13T12:28:57.811-08:002013-02-13T12:28:57.811-08:00I applaud you for your choice! Sometimes choosing ...I applaud you for your choice! Sometimes choosing the right can be painful, embarrassing, and downright hard! My son was chosen to be in his Junior High Musical which is full of bad language! Thankfully, he told me that the theatre director and music director both hate bad language and plan to take it out of the show. In fact, they enlisted my help to rewrite the songs and script to edit it for language. Although I'm glad my son "made the audition" ever since all of the language issues have come to my attention, I have wondered if he shouldn't just quit. As a parent, I'm upset that these teachers gave the scripts and music to these 6th-7th graders full of obscenities - even if they will be edited out for the performance. I've chosen to get even more involved and have already shared my feelings to the music director who agreed with me and clarified that she didn't want to do this musical in the first place. So the next step is getting close enough to the theatre director to share my feelings with her.. . Cherish virtue! Sometimes that is harder than it sounds.. . :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-853181264202350221.post-6350479913309068462013-02-12T16:49:42.230-08:002013-02-12T16:49:42.230-08:00Thank you so much for reading!!
